I slowed down today since my legs and feet were tired from work on Wednesday night. Three rounds of shadow boxing and 30 mins on the elliptical machine.
Worked the triple jab and the jab to the body, jab to the head combinations today. I enjoyed the latter combination because I found it easy to mix in other combinations with it. Jab to the body, jab the head, cross, left outside hook to the kidney, right hook for example.

2.15.10 -- Another Rainy Day
Practiced a few jab combinations today and increased my run up to 40 mins. Some of that run was up hill, but I still felt strong afterwards.

2.10.10 -- Escape
While I was running today I realized how great it was to escape from my books, laptop, TV, etc...
I've always come back from my workouts with a clear head and I've read studies that training can improve our ability to think clearly. Some people escape by playing video games, I read and train.

2/8/10 -- Another day
Worked on some Jab Drills today, increased my run up to 35 mins. The weather was nice and I had a good run.

2/5/10 -- Rainy day
Worked the pivot jab, it's a jab I use all of the time anyway to move in close and start throwing hooks and uppercuts.
After hitting the bag I ran in the almost freezing ran, felt like I had to do it. Next week I'll increase my running times up to 35 mins, then 40 mins the week after that, and 45 mins the week after that. I'll stick with 45 mins for about 5 weeks.
After improving my runs I'll start increasing the number of rounds hitting the bag. My goal will be to hit the bag for 10 rounds every other day.
My routine is as follows now:
Mon: Bagwork, Running
Tues: Scrapper Workout #1
Wed: Bagwork, Running
Thurs: Scrapper Workout #1
Fri: Bagwork, Running
Sat: Rest (Active rest maybe...)
Sun: Rest

2/4/10 -- Loosening up
After some body weight excercises I stretched out. I found that I felt a lot looser today than in the last few weeks, a good sign.

2/3/10 -- Up Jab
Today I worked the Up Jab, my favorite combination is an Up Jab, Cross to the midsection, Left Hook to the jaw.
While I was running I think I saw some Turkey Vultures. Lukily, they didn't decide to vomit on me and attempt to devour me when I got tired on the way back.

2/1/10 -- Speed Jab
Worked the Speed Jab today, the only thing I can say about it is that it is good to mix this punch with power punches.
Maybe throw a Speed Jab, then a Cross...
I ran after I worked the bag and there was snow on the ground, as you can see from the picture. Luckily they sent the Snow Plows through two days ago.
